Summer's Crossing - BookReview [and the Iron Knight COVER!]

Summer's Crossing
by Julie Kagawa
-Part 3.5 of The Iron Fey series.

Rating: 4/5 stars

A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.

Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.

My Thoughts & Stuff:
This is part 3.5 of The Iron Fey and even as a tiny novella it was absolutely lovely.
Summer's Crossing is a story from Puck's pov and we get to know his nature a bit better here.
Ash is a hot and dreamy as ever- and even though its tiny, the story had its fair share of twists and turns to make it way better than just an inbetween-the-full-novels tale.
I found myself at the edge of my seat a couple of times waiting in anticipation of what would happen next!

Plus, even without the usual romance, there was still a hint of it- and after I was done reading, I had a huge cheesy grin on my face- which was there in equal part love for Ash [*swoon*] and Puck, and equal parts EXCITEMENT FOR THE IRON KNIGHT!
After reading this little gem of a novella, I am even more excited for the very last book in The Iron Fey series, which, according to Goodreads, will be released in October this year!
The cover has finally been revealed, and all I can say is, the boy is SO TOTALLY ASH!

Love the cover, love these books, love Julie Kagawa for creating such a magical series and getting me out of the same-old-story rut and into something new and completely awesome.

If you're a fan of the Iron Fey, I would definitely not miss Summer's Crossing out!

  2. These books are some of the best ones I have ever read It has everything in it suspense romance cliffhangers everything Puck is hilarious but also he regrets alot of things so he uses his humor to hide, Ash is cold and dark and mysterios but thats only because he doesn't want his heart broken again, and Meghan she's so stuborn but very sweet she is curious but mysterious and she is in love im only 13 years old but ive read more books than most adults do in thier whole life this year and these books are some of my favoites thanks Julie Kagawa
