Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey

Was awesome. When I read it was about vampires, it kinda put me off. I mean really? Another Vamp book? Okay, I know I loved Twilight but I think most of us have had enough of vampires. Movies/TV shows/ Books- they're EVERYWHERE. So anyway, when I finally DID open the book and began to read, all can say is, I was happily surprised. This book was like quicksand, pulling me into it thick and fast. It was full of emotion, and plenty of laugh out loud moments. The romance was well developed and very sexy, and yes, I admit Lucius was SO EFFING HOT- So I may be a tad bit biased. Heres the what its about: The undead can really screw up your senior year ... Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction. The one thing you need to know about this book is, that the title is very misleading, since theres no real 'Dating Guide'. Its mostly about how Jessica discovers love and herself through her vampire heritage. I do wish that the ending had been better developed- I felt in some places that the romance was a bit too cheesy, specially at the end. Ans also, I wish the more emotional scenes were more well, well written. I mean, they totally had the potential to make me cry, and really make me feel, but they didnt because it felt she had kind of rushed through them. But in all, the book was pretty awesome. And a totally great for when you want an intense, but funny romance with a sexy hero and a wonderful heroine. I'll give it 3.9 stars out of 5. READ IT. I dont think you'll regret it. xx CLG.
